Aija Abele
alabele1@crimson.ua.edu
Hi everyone! My name is Aija Abele and I am a current junior from Madison, AL. I am a Public Health major on the STEM Path to the MBA and a Biology minor. Throughout my pre-dental journey so far, I am thankful for the help and support I have received from older PDS members and wish to pass it forward! I am excited to be able to help others with applications, resume reviews, networking help, and to provide support!

Hunter Blackmon
hmblackmon@crimson.ua.edu
My name is Hunter Blackmon. I am a 5th year senior from Troy, Alabama. I graduated last spring with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and I am currently majoring in Management Information Systems. I have taken the DAT twice, and I am currently going through the application cycle for the second time. I have also been in UA Pre-Dental Society since 2016. With my experience, I can help answer any questions about classes, shadowing, the application process, or how to prepare for the DAT.

Blake Bordelove
brbordelove@crimson.ua.edu
My name is Blake Bordelove. I'm from West Bloomfield, Michigan, which is about thirty minutes outside of Detroit. I'm a junior majoring in Biology and minoring in Food and Nutrition. I'm the Vice President of Tooth-Fairy and love volunteering for that. I'm really involved in Bama Hillel, which is a Jewish organization on campus, so I spend a lot of time there, and I also am in ZBT. I have a lot of experience when it comes to balancing school and still having time to hang out with friends/go out/etc. I took the DAT this August, so a lot of the material and PAT skills are still fresh in my mind. I'm in AS 299 working on my application, so that I can apply in the upcoming cycle.

Evan Gilmartin
emgilmartin@crimson.ua.edu
My name is Evan Gilmartin. I am a senior from Colorado Springs, CO. I am a biology major and a computing tech & applications minor. I took the DAT in May of this year and sent in my dental school applications in June. On campus, I am involved with Project Health & Gamma, UA Tooth-Fairy, and Al's Pals. During my sophomore year, I worked in Dr. Benstead's research lab.

Ethan Gunn
elgunn@crimson.ua.edu
I was born in Tifton, GA but lived there less than a year as my dad joined the Air Force almost immediately after I was born. I have since lived in Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, (a different part of Florida), and then finally the University of Alabama. I am a biology major, but I have a strong chemistry background, as well, working in a biochemistry research lab, so I can help with either of these subjects (either for class or for DAT prep). If you are curious about getting into research, looking for advice about how to get involved in campus life, or have any other questions, please let me know, and I'd be happy to get back to you!

Hannah Hart
hahart@crimson.ua.edu
Hello! My name is Hannah Hart, and I am from Palos Heights, Illinois (south suburb of Chicago). I am a junior here at the university, and I am majoring in Biology. My ultimate career goal is to become either a Pediatric Dentist or an Orthodontist. My main focus as a mentor is to help other PDS members balance their work load, other organizations, sports, or even a job. The past two years, I waitressed in downtown Tuscaloosa and struggled at the beginning to stay organized and on track. By this year, I have got it down and would love to help others who are struggling to stay on track and make enough time to study or work (or whatever else you have going on) and still have some time to yourself. I also am one that would be here to talk to if you feel any discourage or doubt about your journey to becoming a dentist. This journey is not easy, and I myself have struggled with some bad test scores or making enough time to study, and we can work together to figure it out!

Ellie King
egking3@crimson.ua.edu
Hi, my name is Ellie King! I am from Atlanta, GA, and I am majoring in Marketing and am on the Pre-Dental track! I am a junior this year, and I'm so excited to be a mentor this year! If anyone needs any help or advice about studying, balancing work and school, keeping up with online classes, or anything else I will be more than happy to help!

Madison Massey
mjmassey2@crimson.ua.edu
My name is Madison Massey, and I'm from Birmingham, AL. I am a senior this year graduating in May with a major in biology and minor in nutrition. I can help anyone that has to balance work and school. For my first three years, I still had my job in Birmingham on the weekends, and I would have to travel back and forth every weekend, and some weekends I would be going out of state for it. There is for sure a balance that you have to find. If you ever have any questions or want to talk, I'd be more than happy to talk whenever.

Jonathan Parrish
jgparrish1@crimson.ua.edu
My name is Jonathan Parrish, I am from Huntsville Alabama. I'm a senior that will be graduating in the spring with a Biology degree. I will be applying the next cycle for dental school and will be taking a gap year to do research. I am very passionate about dentistry, and I am involved with Histology research through UA. I am also a member of the TERM research group. I love dental mission work and have done mission work in Africa and South America. Whether you want advice about research, getting involved, class, or dentistry in general, I am here to help.

Caroline Robinson
cerobinson10@crimson.ua.edu
